1  General Information / General Questions / Re: web recon/ update utility on: May 09, 2017, 09:43:27 AM
It depends on what the results file contains.  If you can get an account number on those accounts then you can change the status on them.  You just select the account number in the update  mapping utility and then start the wizard.  On the orange screen you select the new status you want to change everything to.

Then you can move these accounts to another que in the Assign Work screen.
2  General Information / General Questions / Re: Administrator Payment Status on: December 30, 2016, 09:42:09 AM
Those status's are hard coded into the software so unfortunately you can't modify it.  However there is a decline status in the next version coming out.
You can do something like this though for the time being.....you can modify the payment type to declined as shown in the post below.

It is part of the full program.  You can download it on this web page.
4  General Information / Support / Re: composition assistance on: July 26, 2016, 07:40:39 AM
Unfortunately this is more of a developer question instead of a user question.  Also callbacks aren't really supposed to be used that way in the system.  When you overload the callbacks you will confuse your collectors.  Woudln't the inventory viewer work better without massively over populating the callbacks table?

Then you wouldn't want all your callbacks to be the same time.

What I would do instead is update dbase.starttime to whatever date you want.  This way you automatically put the accounts in the virtual work date which is controlled by the icons under the zip code.

Otherwise you will have thousands and thousands of accounts clogging up the callback system.
5  General Information / Support / Re: accrued interest on: July 20, 2016, 06:56:09 AM
Do you also have collections max scheduler set to fire each night?  The scheduler does the interest calculation.  You also need to understand that the software does not calculate interest from the chargeoff date unless (in the import csv file section during import) you select it (functions menu at the top after you load a file).

The interest system by itself is designed to maintain the interest calculation.  You also need to make sure that at the time you mapped the file you selected to calculate interest.  If not you need to change the calculate interest flag on the accounts to Y in utilities / Interest.
6  General Information / Support / Re: Unable to export accounts - MS Office Integration Problems on: June 29, 2016, 07:25:58 AM
Did you try installing service pack 3?

It might be that Office 2007 on Windows 10 might not be supported for Automation.  I don't have an install disk to check.  Try installing the service pack.....reboot the computer and retry.  I know that sometimes when there is a security vulnerability with a Microsoft product they will block the execution until it has been updated.

What version of Office 2007 are you using?  The starter editions are not supported because Microsoft removed office automation in them.....they are stripped down versions.
Also....try using windows updates to see if there are any updates to that version of Office you installed.  Sometimes if you install right off a cd it won't work until everything has been updated.

Office 2007 is compatible with Windows 10.

Any of the Cisco / Linksys products usually work fine.  I never liked Netgear as they have many issues like this.  However if the new router doesn't solve the issue simply put each computer on its own static ip address like the server is.  That way you never touch DHCP.......no lease to worry about.
10  General Information / General Questions / Re: Collections Max and Admin Freezing on: April 21, 2016, 09:57:48 AM
Are you positive the event comes before the DCHP lease is denied?  It probably is the reason the server is shutting down.
Did you look at your router settings?  Did you login to your router?

You should be able lengthen the lease time in your router to  much bigger number so you only need to deal with the issue once a week or two instead of every day.

See this website for more info.

It looks like a problem with your router.  You need to login to your router and check the DCHP settings.  Usually the settings are an ip address range like to  You might need to make the last number that size (200) so you get enough ip addresses issued.

However your server NEEDS to be set up on a STATIC ip address so the ip address never changes.

It looks like your router has something to do with your problem and is denying access to the server when the DCHP lease is up.  You can also try to specify a longer DCHP renewal time (if your router supports it) and see if that fixes it.

I am not sure if you have had full control of that server or not.....however there is also a JIT scheduler that might be installed.  Possibly an Administrator has a batch script running every so often and it freezes because it uses too much resources.

There are many things it could be.  When it freezes up look at your resources in your task manager (keep it open anyways).  If you see the computer spike really bad look at the process that is causing it and then take it from there.
13  General Information / General Questions / Re: Backup up MySQL Database on: April 18, 2016, 09:24:50 AM
Yes.  Get software like Acronis True Image software and have it back it up to an external NAS drive.  That is what I use for all my programming backups and I used it when I owned my collection agencies.  Set it and forget it.   Just check on it periodically.
14  General Information / General Questions / Re: Collections Max and Admin Freezing on: April 18, 2016, 09:21:46 AM
It could be many things.  It looks like something is rebooting daily at a pre determined time.  The software will freeze if it sends out a command and the reply is not received.  This is to prevent someone from working all day and then nothing gets saved.

Maybe you should check your server to see if there are any system tasks that run at a predetermined time....or see if the thing is actually rebooting which will shut you down until it comes back up.  Since you said it doesn't affect the internet I doubt the problem is related to a switch or a router rebooting.
15  General Information / General Questions / Re: Backup up MySQL Database on: April 18, 2016, 09:15:15 AM
You would back up the collectionsmax and mysql databases.
Also....in your my.ini file there is a path to your data under data dir.  On my system it looks like

datadir=C:/Program Files/MariaDB 10.0/data

I use Maria DB on my systems because it is faster than plain MySQL.  Anyway you can also simply backup the files in that directory instead of doing a dump every day.  Just make sure you have the SAME VERSION of MYSQL that is on your system in case you need to restore it.

Once click backups and restore will be on the next version.
