Status Types

To modify or view the system status's on the main control panel click the Utilities button,
then click the Status Types button.

You can create your own account status's in Collections MAX.  This gives you the freedom to work accounts the way that you want to work them.  Account status is broken down into three types -

Admin - These status's are only viewed by the Administrator of the Collections MAX system. Refer to this as the master list.

Collector - These are status's that the collector can move accounts into and out of.  These status's are viewed in Collections MAX Collector when a collector clicks on the Change status button.  You want to only put status's that you want the collectors to access in this category. Status's like PAID IN FULL should not go here.

Litigation - This is where you would put status's for the up coming litigation module.


Adding Status's

To create a status, first select the category (Administrator, Collector, or Litigation) and then click the green ADD button.

A popup box will appear like below

Fill out the popup box with your new status. 

Status Name - This is the name of your status and will be viewed in both the status of the account in Collections MAX Collector and in your status reports.

Status Type -  This is currently not in use and is reserved for future development.  For now select NO RESTRICTIONS

Status Color - This selects the color of the status box when the status is used.  Use this to help the collectors easily identify accounts that need or don't need to be worked based on the status.

Status Description - This is a short description that describes your status for quick reference.

Click the OK button to save status.


Mandatory Status Codes

There are some mandatory status codes that MUST be included due to the way that Collections MAX is coded. 

The mandatory status are

NEWBIZ - for new accounts
BANKRUPTCY
DECEASED
PROMISE TO PAY
BROKEN PROMISE
REQUEST VOD - for the document request report
