Once you have created your mail merge templates you now need to set them up in Collections MAX.  To do this click the Utilities button in the main control panel and then click Letter Administration.

Click the green ADD button

Lettername:  The name of your letter.

Description:  Type a short description of the letter for later reference.

Type:

Standard - This type does not show a popup when selected.
Payment Plan - This type shows the payment plan dialog box when selected.
Settlement - This type shows the settlement dialog box when selected.


Category:

Administrator - If selected then only the Administrator can select letter.
Attorney - If selected then this letter can only go to Attorney.
Business - If selected then this letter can only go to accounts with complete Business name and address.
CoDebtors - If selected then letter will only go out to CoDebtors with complete address.
Collector - If selected then letter will only be available to debtors with complete addresses.
Litigation - NOT CURRENTLY USED.



Template Path - This is the path to your letter template.  If multiple people are going to be using the Administrator then make sure to set this on a network drive.  Click the Browse button to select your template and click OK.


Click the OK button to save your letter.

You can set up the rest of your letters using the above directions.
