Import Menu Functions

After a CSV sheet is loaded and the data grid is populated with your account information, you will see a more involved menu system on the top of the screen.  These functions will help you format your import template even furthur.

Divide Grid Button:  This section will break down the data grid into smaller "chunks" so you can view a particular section at a time.

Page 1,2,3,4,5 will view the sections that correspond to the tab pages.

SOL date will view sections that correspond to setting up the correct statute of limitations date.

View all will default back to viewing the entire grid.

Format Social Security numbers and Phone Numbers will format those fields to collections max standards.


Format Menu Button:  Under the Format menu button you will see a few functions that will save you time in creating your template file.

Split name from full name -  If you have only a full name and would like to extract the first, middle, and last names then select this function.

Split name from CoDebtor1 full name - This function will extract the first, middle, and last names of the CoDebtor1 full name column.


Split name from CoDebtor2 full name -  Same as above except for CoDebtor2


Save Menu Button:  Save Grid to Excel - This function will save the current grid back to an excel spreadsheet so you can reopen and import later.  Make sure to change this to a comma seperated value (CSV) before importing again.



Functions Button:  Under the functions button you will find some helpful functions for calculating interest and removing invalid apostrophes.

Calculate Accrued Interest from Charge Off Date ( using current balance)
Calculate Accrued Interest from Charge Off Date ( using principal)
Calculate Accrued Interest from Last Payment Date ( using current balance)
Calculate Accrued Interest from Last Payment Date ( using principal)

Remove apostrophes " ' " will remove apostrophes from most of the fields in your import template. Apostrophes will cause errors when importing and should be avoided at all costs!!

Get Accrued interest by subtracting current balance from principal - will populate accrued interest by comparing these fields.
